Dear Friends and Partners,

Happy New Year!  This is the normal expression that we use in the United States to greet one another as the New Year begins.  However, there is another expression that expresses our hearts:  “IT SURE IS GOOD TO BE A CHRISTIAN.” No matter what the year may involve, having the relationship that we have with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, makes life worth living.

There is one key scripture that God has brought to our hearts that directs us for the coming year:  “In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.” (Proverbs 3:6 NKJV) There is one thing that we know for certain, our paths need to be directed.  When we look at the world around us, we find that “uncertainty” is the order of the day.  However, when we look into the Word Of God, we find total assurance.  David, the Psalmist blessed the Lord with these words which also magnified the promises of God:

“Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name!  Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.” (Psalm 103:1-5 NKJV)

So friends, look up and rejoice in the Lord and know that He has everything under His control.

You will notice from our schedule that Eugene will be in Colombia during the month.  We ask that you pray especially for this trip, as he will travel to several areas of the nation.  There has been much flooding in the past few weeks and we believe that the trip will be unhindered.

We have included an article in this month’s newsletter entitled, “Being Free.”  We trust that you will be instructed, encouraged and blessed as you read it.  It is our intention to include an occasional article that may help you in your growth as an “overcoming” believer.

Our prayer for you is that you continue to be blessed and prosper in the love and provision of our Lord.

In Jesus,

Eugene & Sherry
