27 December 2016
Dear Friends and Partners,
It is with great joy that we write to you. In recent days we have been reminded of the promise of God: “Therefore know that the LORD your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him….” (Deuteronomy 7:9 NKJV). As you may know, we spent most of the month of November and the first two weeks of December in the nation of Colombia. Sherry returned home early and Eugene stayed for the complete schedule. During the time when Eugene was there alone, on a Friday morning, he became ill and was rushed to a hospital with extreme pain. He was suffering from an intestinal blockage, and the pain was such that he could not stand or walk without aid. Upon reaching the hospital, he was met by Dr. Harold Gaez, who also happens to be a pastor in the city of Cali. Dr. Gaez immediately laid hands on Eugene and prayed for healing.
Soon after being admitted to the hospital, a surgeon checked Eugene and declared that surgery would probably be the answer. During the next several hours, the pain stopped and relief came from the blockage. The following day, after two CT scans and a colonoscopy, no problem was found and it was determined that surgery would not be necessary. By Sunday noon, Eugene was released from the hospital with a great declaration of health. Dr./Pastor Gaez whom Eugene had never met until entering the hospital approached him and asked if he would preach in his church, which Eugene did the following Monday evening. What a wonderful, healing God we have and he is truly faithful, every time!
In addition to Eugene’s healing, God moved graciously in the meetings in the cities of Bogota, Medellin and Cali. One of our spiritual sons, David McCann from Brossard, Quebec, Canada, flew to Colombia and spent the final week with Eugene. We believe that it was a great experience for David as he got a taste of the blessing that the nation of Colombia has been to us for the past 22 years.
As you can see from our schedule, January and February will find us quite busy in Canada, England, France and here at home in the U.S.A. One event that we look forward to every year is the Apostolic Resource Ministries R & R (Rest and Relaxation) which will be held in Nashville, Indiana. We will have an opportunity spend quality time with friends and colleagues for those few days sharing about the moving of God among us.
Recently we made a change in the way that we conduct Eagles Wings. Eagles Wings, Inc. is now simply Eagles Wings. We have merged our ministry with Apex Christian Alliance, an independent ministry located in Indiana. All donations to Eagles Wings are still tax deductible as before.
We sincerely pray that 2017 will be a time of extreme blessing in each of your lives and that we have an opportunity so see as many of you as possible. You all are dear to our hearts and we want you to know that you are loved. We say in the words of the Apostle Paul, “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us….” (Ephesians 3:20 NKJV).
