Letter for January and February 2016
20 December 2015
Dear Friends and Partners,
Looking forward to 2016 has filled us with great hope: hope for the Church of our Lord Jesus Christ and hope for the world in which we all live. There are times when we feel the same thing that we see written by the Apostle Paul to the Church at Corinth, “Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.” (1 Corinthians 1:10 NKJV) We see the possibilities that arise in Jesus Christ.
Recently we were in the nation of Colombia and we were so encouraged by seeing hundreds of people come to the knowledge of Jesus as Savior. It is truly amazing to see people so hungry for the salvation of God. We often say that it really doesn’t matter what the subject of the preaching or teaching may be because in many places all we must do is ask if anyone wants to receive Jesus as Savior and people will literally run to pray the prayer of faith for salvation.
The writer of Hebrews encouraged the Church of his day by saying to them, “looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith….” (Hebrews 12:2 NKJV) We are convinced that in our day it is when we look unto Jesus that we can see not only the future of the Church, but we can also see the future of the world in which we live. We see it by faith and we know that by faith we can speak to the mountains that stand in the way of victory, “Be removed and be cast into the sea…” (Mark 11:23 NKJV) It is then that those mountains will be removed and assurance will grow in our hearts.
In the next few weeks we plan to return to the Montreal region of Quebec to minister in several churches. In February we are looking forward to being in Indiana for the R & R (Rest and Relaxation) gathering with Apostolic Resource Ministries. We will also spend time in several churches in the southern region of the state. We ask that you pray for the success of these times of ministry to the Body of Christ.
It is our prayer that you all have great success and be blessed in this New Year. Paul closed his 2nd letter to the Thessalonians with these words, “Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all.” (2Thessalonians 3:16 NKJV)
