25 June 2014
Dear Friends and Partners,
We have taken a large portion of the month of June as a time of rest and we must say that it has been a great pleasure. This has been and remains a time “…of refreshing from the presence of the Lord” (Acts 3:19 NKJV).
As we sat down to write this letter, the Holy Spirit began to remind us of the value that you are to our lives and ministry. We have truly been blessed through our years with the relationships that have been built. Reading the Book of Acts, there was a time when Peter and John had been taken before the Sanhedrin, threatened and told not to speak any more about Jesus. The Word says, “And being let go, they went to their own companions…” (Acts 4:23 NKJV). We consider you our “companions” in the work of God and we are strengthened in knowing that you are standing with us.
When we read these words, “For I know the plans I have for you…plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV), we are greatly encouraged. It is the knowledge that He has plans, not only for us, but also for you that causes us to rejoice. We are confident that God has everything under control and will fulfill His promises to us all.
You will notice from the calendar that our schedule for the next several weeks is not as strenuous as normal. We will be attending the Apostolic Resource Ministries Conference for several days where we will be spending a time of fellowship with many of you. We will also speak at World Outreach For Christ in Scottsburg, Indiana. After Indiana, we will be flying to Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and celebrate the second anniversary of Centre Evangelique Nouvelle Alliance.
This past January, we began writing a daily post on Facebook in English. After a few weeks, one of our spiritual sons in Africa, Alain Yeboue, began translating the post into French. As a result, many people from all over the world have been reading the posts. If you would like to read them, check out “Eugene May” at Facebook.com. (We apologize to our Spanish friends that we do not have anyone to translate every day but, as soon as we do, we will begin posting in Spanish.)
We thank God for each on of you and that the blessings of God are filling each of your lives. Your prayers have strengthened us to continue our lives of ministry to the body of Christ, His Church. Your faithfulness is so appreciated.
