Dear Friends and Partners,
We are currently in France where we have been ministering in several churches. France is a field that is dear to our hearts and we know that the nation is being prepared for a great harvest and we desire to see it. It is extremely encouraging to see the growth both numerically and spiritually. However, it is the spiritually growth that has been so wonderful to see.
The events of the past few days have caused us to realize that our security is not in our nation or in our location. Our security and assurance is in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We have been reminded of the words of the apostle Paul as he stood in the midst of the philosophers in Athens and spoke of Jesus: “In Him we live and move and have our being….” (Acts 17:28 NKJV). We are also reminded of the words of an old hymn that says,
“In times like these I have a Savior,
In times like these I have an anchor.
I’m very sure, I’m very sure
My anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock!” (Ruth Caye Jones)
These are not times to be in despair or to surrender to evil. But these are times to increase our commitment to the one who holds us in the palm of His hand. David, the Psalmist, declared his faith and confidence in the Lord when he said, “The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1 NKJV). The one thing that our enemy, Satan, wants us to do is to yield to fear.
One thing that we have learned in our lifetime of ministry of the Word of God is that fear and faith cannot co-exist. If we allow it, fear will overcome faith, but we remember the words of Paul to his spiritual son Timothy: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV). We especially appreciate another translation of the words, “a sound mind,” that says, “THE RIGHT TO CONTROL YOUR MIND.” The arena of warfare for the believer is in the mind and we have the right to control our minds, “bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ…” (2 Corinthians 10:5 NKJV).
In the months ahead we plan to be in both the United States and Canada (See the schedule). We are extremely encouraged by the number of invitations that continue to come to us, but we can only take a few of them. So many people are speaking negatively about the world in which we live and yet we are seeing increased hunger and thirst for the truth of God’s Word.
As we continue to travel and minister the Word of God, we ask that you pray for us that we will be led by the Holy Spirit and walk in the wisdom of God. It is our prayer for you that you stand strong in the revelation of God’s Word and that you have good success, spiritually, physically and financially. The apostle Paul wrote of both his and our desire for the church in these words, “Now may our God and Father Himself, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way to you. And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love to one another and to all, just as we do to you…” (1 Thessalonians 3:11-12 NKJV).
