Dear Friends and Partners,
It is such a pleasure writing to you and knowing that you all are in the very center of the plans and purposes of God. You all are in our hearts, and we thank you for your love and the relationships that we have built during our years of ministry.
Praise and worship have always been important in the Church, the Body of Christ. Virtually every morning in Eugene’s life he awakens with a song flooding through his mind. Recently it was the song, “Jesus, What A Beautiful Name.”
Jesus, what a beautiful name, Son of God, Son of Man,
Lamb that was slain.
Joy and peace, strength and hope, Grace that blows all fear away.
Jesus, what a beautiful name.

As he sang the song, we were reminded of the situation when Peter and John were taken before the Sanhedrin, threatened, and told not to speak or teach in the name of Jesus. Peter said, “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).
We are also often reminded of the fact that Jesus Himself spoke of the use of His name. He said, “Whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it” (John 14:13-14). Jesus sent out seventy disciples to heal the sick and to preach the Gospel of the Kingdom. When they returned, they spoke about the experience of using the name of Jesus: “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name” (Luke 10:17).
God has given us the use of the name of Jesus, not only for salvation, but also for everything that we need. When we pray, we often end the prayer with these words, “In the name of Jesus, Amen.” Why? It is because there is power in His name, and when we use that name, God Himself comes and works on our behalf, fights for us, rescues us, and brings to pass all of the promises that He has given to us. Remember that Paul wrote, “At the name of Jesus every knee should bow… and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:10-11).
